Field and Applications Engineer for Video and Broadband
Division
Hinditron is working with an overseas
company that provides web browsers and client-side
middleware for IP/cable set-top boxes.The company is a
leader in its field, with products used worldwide by set-top
box manufacturers and service providers . This position is
for a person to market and provide field support for the
company’s products that include embedded firmware, Real-time
OS, Web-browser , GUI etc . The location is Mumbai,
entailing travel .
Responsibilities:
Work with the sales team to demonstrate the
use and the technical benefits of our products to
prospective clients
Provide a resource of knowledge on hardware
and software architecture at the system and application
levels to prospective customers
Act as a regional technical information
resource
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the
technologies, trends, and players in the internet appliance
market
Work with sales field staff and customers to
evaluate customer technical needs
Requirements:
M Sc electronics/B Tech or equivalent .
Diploma holders will be considered if they have relevant
experience in related fields.
Experience in the television or wireless
design industry
Technical design capabilities in telco and/
or cable network domains
3+ years of embedded Java, embedded C/C++
and system design experience working in all phases of
software development lifecycle will be an asset.
Ideal Candidate Will also have:
Excellent presentation and public speaking
skills.
Willing to travel for on-site customer
visits and demos to support trade shows
Ability to work independently, and with
multiple, geographically distributed teams
Experience in embedded systems architectures
is a plus
